 > You need to install arpack with the *openmpi* variant, not *mpi*. The
 erroneous warning by the slepc port has been fixed in r89625. I also added
 checks for a number of other Fortran compilers. It works for me with
 arpack+openmpi+gcc45. Please confirm it works for you, too.
