 I attached the patch to the portfile I used to update.
 Mac OS X 10.5.8 PowerPC G4
 gcc version 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5666) (dot 3)
 All tests passed

 patchfiles-append patch-config.guess.i7.diff has been implemented by gmp
 so it can be removed. The patch for #9053 didn't seem to be necessary, but
 the OP for that bug was on ppc64.

 I do wonder whether the post-destroot is needed, band-aids should be
 removed at some point.
