 Having dealt with Boost bugs before, I really understand your pain.

 However, as I have learned in #32558, we really can't fix bugs in boost
 itself in MacPorts; it breaks other software patches.

 I suggest pestering the boost people to have them patch the bug - it
 '''seems''' like a trivial patch, but perhaps other software relies on
 this behaviour?

 Essentially, this is a boost bug, not a macports bug. :-(
