 This is a recommendation to either change the dependencies for R 2.14 or
 add a note so that people know that some packages will not install via
 install.packages() from R unless the user has gcc46.  The Matrix packages
 is one of these packages.

 I am running "R @2.14.0_0+gcc43+recommended (active)" on an Intel Mackbook
 Pro with Mac OS 10.6 (current updates).
