New description:

 despite having the libGeoIP installed, sudo port install ntop fails during
 configure with error "Target org.macports.configure returned: configure
 failure: shell command failed (see log for details)"

 investigating the log shows:

 In the future, please Cc the port maintainer(s), fill in the Port field
