 The first log is incomplete. Please run:

 sudo port clean openmpi
 }}}
 and try installing again to generate a complete log.

 The error in the second log is:

 ld: duplicate symbol _MPIR_Breakpoint in
 /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_mpich/mpich/work/mpich-1.2.7p1/lib/libmpich.a(debugutil.o)
 and
 /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_mpich/mpich/work/mpich-1.2.7p1/lib/libpmpich.a(debugutil.o)
 for architecture x86_64

 but this appears to have nothing to do with this ticket, as it shows an
 error while building mpich, not openmpi.
