 The port indeed requires to use kbuildsycoca4 after install, as already
 indicated in the notes of the Porfile.
 However, as this command only rebuilds the system cache, it should be
 necessary to run it only once. Is the behaviour in you case different ?

 The crash described looks a lot like the problem of ticket #32406, where
 the output of kdevelop is not really helpful, in fact.
 By searching a little bit, I noticed that a possible flaw in the port may
 lead it to use the system (/usr/bin) subversion when the macports' one is
 not
 installed.

 Just to confirm the issue, do you have the subversion port installed and
 active, or not ?

 In any case, I have some corrections to commit to the kdevplatform port
 which is the one supposedly causing problem, but I would like to confirm
 that your
 issue falls into this category.
