If you can provide a fix, we will certainly take it (and I suggest you
work with gnu.org to get the fix included in their releases as well), but
we will not be focusing our efforts on fixing issues like this.
I downloaded (from SVN) GCC 4.7 and it seems to have built correctly so
far. I think the problem may be related to
[http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49594 bootstrap failure in
libffi:darwin_closure for powerpc-darwin8], but it should already be
fixed.
Since my attempts to fix it, I see another fix here by tobias. Maybe I'll
try it with gcc47 on my 10.4.11 ppc system.
