 I have exactly same problem as this and ticket #35186 but on OSX10.4.11.
 The problem was initiated by a "self update" followed by a "upgrade
 outdated".
 I have just successfully issued "install gmake".
 Using command line "install gobject-introspection build.cmd gmake" makes
 absolutely no difference.
