 sudo port install erlang (after a sudo port clean --all erlang) _always_
 has issues with the configure phase -

 It appears that there's no corresponding erlang*bz2 at
 packages.macports.org; running port with -D <path to Portfile> also fails
 the same way.

 This is critical to our development and I'd like to see it resolved as
 soon as is possible, thanks very much for your help!
