You've reported that you have solved this, but haven't told how. I plan
to do full reinstall, but it'll be in the future. ports provide some tools
which I use in my work.
different java projects I have on computer had been successfully built
with this javac and different arguments with no delays. (I've tested from
maven, ant and ant with executing javac as system command.)
