 Version 2.15.1 of the R-framework does not compile using gcc 4.5 or
 gcc4.6. Also, R 2.15.1 still uses VecLib (which is now deprecated to the
 point of causing an error in ML) rather than Accelerate. The attached
 short-term solution is to not allow the gcc45 and gcc46 variants on ML as
 well as to use R's builtin BLAS/LAPACK.
