#34760: py-omniORBpy @ 3.6 new upstream version available; port broken and upgrade
stalled

The omniORB version is at 4.1.6 but the version of omniORBpy is stalled at
3.4 (should be 3.6; the last version digits need to match).
Ticket #33241 contains the patches to get omniORBpy to 3.6. At the moment
the omniORBpy port is useless and has been for over three months.
I believe that revlocking a port for over two years is not in anyone's
best interest. Better to upgrade to current supported versions than to
insist on maintaining a feature which is not currently available or
supported. In this case +universal apparently used to work (I have no
direct evidence of this) and no longer does.
Clearly not very many people use this port (witness the lack of trouble
tickets for this item in the last three months) but this is an opportunity
to fix bit rot and get things back to current.
Please let me know what more I can do to get this going.
