Comment:

 To clarify: the build failed with ''clang'', and you were able to get it
 to work by using ''llvm-gcc'' (not gcc). It would be nice if you would
 attach the main.log file showing the build failure with clang.

 It looks like newer versions (1.0.4, 1.0.4.1, 1.1.0) of log4cplus are
 available. We should try updating the port to one of those versions to see
 if it fixes this problem.
