 Compilation with -O4 activates link time optimizations. It looks like arb
 can not handle that.
 A patch was applied upstream to not trigger LTO, see http://bugs.arb-
 home.de/changeset/8675/trunk/Makefile.
 Either pull in that patch, or force a non-LTO compiler, or wait for the
 upstream update.
