 hi- i am new to using the terminal + commands--installed macports in the
 winter. today needed to uninstall/reinstall  library and drivers for
 kinect/unity 3d got these errors:

 Warning: port definitions are more than two weeks old, consider using
 selfupdate
 couldn't open "/opt/local/var/macports/registry/.registry.lock":
 permission denied
     while executing
 "::open $lockpath w"

 don't have a clue what to do next, please help.
