 I fixed this on my machine by adding

 -lgmodule-2.0

 to the link (as per
 https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/commit/9db157c00c438d0713928424f38703d3d8272498)

 I don't know anything about MacPorts, so I don't know how to add this to
 Portfile (or what?), just pitching in my $0.00002
