 Short answer, yes.

 Long answer, in ghc 7.4.2 this .o file is replaced with a .dylib. I
 believe having this .o file around
 is actually a way for ghc to perform non-standard static-linking. That
 being said, I'm really not quite
 sure why it's there, but I am quite sure it is necessary.

 If the warning really annoys you, you can deactivate (or uninstall) ghc-
 bootstrap when you are not
 actively building ghc.
