 I cannot start gv either after the "fix". Now I am getting the following
 fatal error message while starting up gv:
 dyld: Library not loaded: /opt/local/lib/libXaw3d.8.dylib
   Referenced from: /opt/local/bin/gv
   Reason: Incompatible library version: gv requires version 9.0.0 or
 later, but libXaw3d.8.dylib provides version 8.0.0
