 I have loaded Python 2.7 via macports 2.0.4, as well as py27-numpy and
 py27-scipy sucessfully (I think). When I try to install py27-matplotlib
 1.1.0 most dependencies load until things get to glib2 where the install
 fails. I have search the web and past tickets for a solution. I have tried
 the few suggestions I have found without success. I have a macbook, lion
 10.7.3, xcode 4.2.
 The solution (ticket #32263) below does not work:
 sudo port clean glib2
 sudo port selfupdate
 sudo port install glib2
