 The [ProblemHotlist#compiler ProblemHotlist] never suggests using
 /usr/bin/gcc or /usr/bin/g++. We want to use a specific compiler, and
 /usr/bin/gcc and /usr/bin/g++ are usually symlinks. What are they symlinks
 to on your system?
