 Installed MacPorts to essentially get the latest version of Kate ( 4.8.1
 ). She installed without a hitch but there is one problem, in the
 preferences there are no listed plugins or extensions. In my installation
 I can find the directory with the plugins but Kate seemingly cannot - this
 means that I cannot use the tabify, file browser or the konsole plugin.
