 I wanted to install GIMP 2.8.0 on my computer using Macports, so I updated
 the necessary ports to do so in my local repository. Most of these ports
 are maintained by devans, though, so I didn't to commit my changes without
 having him review them.

 I also noticed that my GIMP 2.8.0 builds and runs successfully, but any
 time I try to edit text in the program, it crashes. (Mac OS X 10.7.3,
 i386) I'm guessing that this should be addressed, but I'm not sure if it's
 a configuration issue with how Macports builds GIMP 2.8.0, or a code issue
 that should be addressed upstream.
