 I tried, but no use. I downloaded the files manually from
 packages.macports.org , and placed them in
 /opt/local/var/macports/incoming/verified
 Now I'm getting the same problem for other packages too. I'm trying to
 install git-core, some packages are downloading just fine, but some are
 giving this error.
