 Yes, that's what "shadow" and "updated" mean.

 Yes, I know it doesn't mean you've included the change.  However, at least
 I could check, if you warned me.  What I don't want to happen is that my
 port stays out-of-date indefinitely because I don't know that improvements
 have been happening upstream.
