New description:

 I've had my xemacs crash when it was trying to fontify a buffer. I guess
 it is similar to the bug described here: #36196

 So, my first intention was to re-install the package.. So I did: `sudo
 port uninstall xemacs` - when fine [[br]]
 and then: `sudo port install xemacs` - which fail on the last stage.

 --->  Configuring xemacs
 Error: org.macports.configure for port xemacs returned: configure failure:
 command execution failed
 Please see the log file for port xemacs for details:

 My main impression is that it is related to the fact that I have installed
 many of the packages (following some advice on 'wine' installation) with
 '+universal' option, while lately I've installed all packages 'plain',
 i.e. without '+universal'

 The log says:
 {{{
 Unrecognized option: --disable-dependency-tracking
 }}}
 This simply means nobody tested the universal variant with this port, and
 it does not work. Either see if you can fix it and give us a patch, or
 don't use the universal variant.
