 OK, sorry, that makes a lot of sense.  I filed a ticket in their project
 so the maintainer should be aware at least: https://github.com/m4rw3r/php-
 libev/issues/4

 If it makes sense to close this for now, that's fine.  It can always be
 re-opened when the extension is ready.
