 I've just added a new patch to this ticket, portfile-11-25-2012.diff.

 Over the last few months this port was changed so that the download stage
 fails. This patch corrects the Portfile to download from the correct
 place.

 It also should support live updating, based on work done to the standard
 unison (2.40.x) port.
