 Another suggestion: Download [http://xquartz.macosforge.org/landing
 XQuartz], install it, and then try running GRC from that terminal. Maybe
 GTK / GDK requires an actual DISPLAY (which in my X11.app is by default
 set to ":0" meaning that local X11 display).
