 The patch seems OK to me. It would still be nice to have a dedicated
 PortGroup for emacs, but until then the current form seems totally
 reasonable: it supports all flavours of emacs without adding any
 additional overhead to user by offering unnecessary extra options.

 I don't have commit rights and I don't have enough experience to be able
 to tell if the code is consistent with MacPorts philosophy, so all that's
 needed is some experienced MacPorts developer's blessing and commit.
