 You're right, this was a network problem. I actually tried that from
 multiple networks, always with the same result.
 However, I finally found the source of the problem: There was a strange
 rule in my firewall preventing connections from Terminal via svn... It
 must have been me who put that there, so I'm really sorry for the
 confusion! Thanks a lot for your help!
