New description:

 I cannot install (build) the octcdf package for Octave (I have octave-
 devel, Octave version 3.6.3 from MacPorts):

Comment:

 This was not a clean attempt. Please "`sudo port clean octave-octcdf`",
 then try again, then attach the new main.log file if it fails again.
