 I spent many hours over several weeks fighting with this software, and was
 happy to get something that compiled at all. stdint.h is already included
 by g-wrap's files but for some reason they maintain a local copy of
 stdint.h might factor into the problem. I don't understand it and really
 don't want to waste any more time on this port.
