 I updated harfbuzz and applied the suggested fix of adding `-lstdc++` in
 r99243.

 I applied the needed patch in r99239.

 It turns out the tests require Python >= 2.6. This is now enforced as of
 r99242.

 A remaining problem is that harfbuzz does not build with gcc-4.0. It
 appears to be the same problem reported last month when using Visual
 Studio 2005:
