 There is no maintainer for this port and so no one in particular is
 looking at it.

 I looked at your patch and there are a few problems:
   1. The revision would need to be updated because you are adding
 dependencies
   1. It should not force the user to install python27. You should add
 python variants for python26, python27 and maybe some of the python3x
 ports. Also it needs to specify the location of the python install to use
 the correct one. This is usually done with something like a {{{--python-
 path=...}}} command in the configure arguments.
