 Thank you for the fix. I have successfully installed gdb version 7.3.
 Quick question, under port list installed, i see gdb. I still have Apple's
 old gdb 6.3.50 which appears when I type gdb -v into terminal. I looked
 through my list of executables, and can't seem to locate it. Below is the
 list beginning with gd*.

 gd2copypal
 gd2togif
 gd2topng
 gdb
 gdbus
 gdbus-codegen
 gdcmpgif
