#35770: gcc ports should not include a C++ runtime
--------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
Reporter: jeremyhu@… | Owner: jeremyhu@…
Type: defect | Status: reopened
Priority: Normal | Milestone:
Component: ports | Version: 2.1.2
Resolution: | Keywords: libstdc++
Port: gcc43 gcc44 gcc45 gcc46 gcc47 gcc48 |
--------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
Comment(by help@…):
Just tried building with updated gcc46 port - it fails on linking stage.
As far as I understand, GCC still uses its own C++ headers which do not
match API/ABI provided by system libstdc++ which results in missing
symbols. So just removing dylib isn't enough, more work should be done to
make it work.
