 cyrus-sasl2 @2.1.25_2+kerberos crashes when used for SMTP authentication
 in mutt. (And probably in a bunch of other conditions.)

 Phil Pennock (cyrus-sasl-phil at spodhuis.org) posted a patch
 (http://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/pipermail/cyrus-
 sasl/2011-October/002358.html) now included in other cyrus-sasl2 builds;
 for some reason it didn't make it to the Mac Ports version.

 The patch has apparently been committed to the mainline
 (http://lists.andrew.cmu.edu/pipermail/cyrus-
 sasl/2011-October/002359.html).

 I am attaching the patch. Tested it and it works.
