Comment:

 I just checked in a fix in r98129.  Using your provided license.py file, I
 could replicate the issue, and this change fixes it (in a good, useful
 way, which is why I decided to commit it). But, once again, that
 license.py file should not have been there in the first place if you abide
 by MacPorts' guidelines that just MacPorts-tracked files should be
 installed in ${prefix} ("/opt/local" generally). I'm closing this ticket
 as fixed, since it now works for me under your conditions. If you choose
 to reopen it, you will need to have removed the license.py file first to
 show that this port still doesn't work.  You will want to remove the
 "python.bin-append -v -v" from the Portfile if it does work.
