 Hi all,

 I have been searching this site's database extensively, and while I have
 found many options to try to solve my problem, I have yet to come across a
 solution. I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate post;
 unfortunately, my understanding of macports is slim enough to make it
 difficult for me to distinguish between simialr or duplicate errors.

 I am attempting to install a program called stimfit using macports. The
 official install guide can be found here:
 http://www.stimfit.org/doc/sphinx/osx_install_guide/building.html

 On the final step of the install, I am confronted with the following
 error:

 Error: org.macports.build for port stimfit returned: command execution
 failed
 Please see the log file for port stimfit for details:
 /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_Users_Mike_stimfit_macosx_macports_science_stimfit/stimfit/main.log
 To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide:

 Error: Processing of port stimfit failed

 I have just run the command sudo port clean stimfit, and then sudo port
 install stimfit. I hope that this has produced a useful log file, which is
 attached to this post.

 Please let me know if any of you can figure out what it is I'm doing
 wrong.
