Comment:

 This was not a clean attempt. Run:
 {{{
 $ sudo port clean gnuplot
 $ sudo port install gnuplot
 }}}
 and attach the log file if it fails again.

 In the future please remember to Cc the maintainer and fill in the port
 field.
