 Since openmpicc is built using clang and not gcc, -fopenmp is not a
 recognized option.  But, most other implemenations of openmpi do support
 openmp threading (via pragmas).

 I am using: openmpi @1.6.4_0+gcc47+threads.  Is there a way to not use
 clang but instead use gcc-mp-4.7?
