 I just downloaded and tried to compile 2.7.1 and it has the same problem:

 $ tar jxvf amarok-2.7.1.tar.bz2
 $ cd amarok-2.7.1
 $ mkdir build
 $ cd build/
 $ cmake .. -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` | tee cmake.log
 $ make | tee make.log
 }}}

 The two 'teed' log files are attached.
