 expected results: latest version of xz, 5.0.5, retrievable from
 http://tukaani.org/xz/

 actual results: as per macports log file, fetch fails due to connect()
 timeout on all mirrors.

 thus, any package depending on xz (e.g., gtk2) fails to download.
