 While speaking with the developer of textmate about a bug report I sent
 him, he mentioned that although when textmate crashes it displays a
 message saying the crash report was sent to him, he actually ignores those
 reports because they came from a custom build of textmate. I asked if
 there's anything we can do to improve the MacPorts builds of textmate so
 that its crash reports would be useful to him. He said:

 The version string needs to be fixed. In your crash report I see:

    Version: 2.0-alpha. (9445)

 A default build (after checking out the alpha.9445 tag) should give a
 version string of:

    Version: 2.0-alpha.9445+git.7556bf1 (9445)

 You could change ‘git’ to ‘ports’ or similar, but the long version string
 must contain the actual release number.
