 I notice that this ticket is 5 years old and probably a lot has changed in
 the meantime. I don't experience the problem with the new 64-bit
 {{{py27-wxpython-2.8 +gtk}}}, but I most probably need a volunteer to test
 it with {{{py25-wxpython-2.8 +carbon}}} on an "outdated OS".
