 Terminator probably needs to be rewritten to no longer require vte python
 support. See upstream bug about this and gtk3:
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/terminator/+bug/1030562. 6 months ago

 was given to a new developer]; he may just need some time to deal with
 this and various other issues.
