 That is how they were originally installed and then updated. However
 apparently that does not give you anew version of the compiler and linker.
 I successfully downloaded the lastest version of commandline tools for
 Lion and installed. I am now running sudo port install gnudatalanguage and
 it has passed the fftw-3.
