 is a red herring. It did not cause the problem.

 The real problem is

 You log does not show a clean build attempt. Please run `sudo port clean
 ncurses`, try again and attach the complete main.log if it fails again.

 You can check whether the Command Line Tools are installed by checking
 whether `/usr/lib/tclConfig.sh` exists on your system.
