 gnuplot uses AquaTerm.app for me.

 Ok.  The problem is that the FLTK stuff isn't part of the main thread for
 the GUI.  Native graphics on MacOS X will require the Qt toolkit.  For
 now, the GUI should default to using Gnuplot.

 I see the same problem, but have no idea why.
